TOP TOURIST DESTINATIONS IN KENYA
WILDLIFE
MAASAI MARA, which is Kenya's (and the world's) original "lion country." Famous for the Big Five.
Watch the Wildebeest Migration: Witness one of the world's most spectacular movements of wildlife when millions of wildebeest and their zebra friends move through the Masai Mara Game Reserve and Tanzania's neighboring Serengeti National Park on an annual migration following the rains and new grazing. The predators follow them, and during the birthing seasons there are easy pickings to be had. You can see the biggest density of animals in the Masai Mara from July to August.
Balloon over the Masai Mara: One of the top things to do in Kenya is hot air ballooning at dawn over the Masai Mara -- especially during the wildebeest migration. Apart from the hiss of the burners, the flight is magically silent and there are magnificent views over the smooth golden grassy plains and purple hills.
AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK, offers unbelievable concentrations of elephants and breathtaking views of Mount Kilimanjaro.
Tsavo west & Tsavo East National Parks, which is an excellent place for visitors who enjoy walking and who have time to spend days visiting the surroundings and the diverse habitats that the park provides. : open plains with scattered savannah bushes and semi desert scrub, acacia woodlands, rocky ridges and outcrops and isolated hills, riverine vegetation, palm thickets and on the Chyulu hills, mountane forest.
LAKE NAKURU NATIONAL PARK which is home to considerable populations of Kenya animals, it is more famous for its millions of flamingoes whose plumes turn Lake Nakuru into a “sea of pink.
NAIROBI NATIONAL PARK, offers an unbelievable wilderness experience in the heart of the capital of Kenya. Equally astounding is that it is home to all the 'Big Five' except the mighty elephant.
SAMBURU NATIONAL RESERVE, offers great widlife and rich cultural experience.
